Squinting your eyes due to the bright sun rays falling on your face, you slowly opened your eyes but immediately closed it because a sudden sharp pain hitted you like a truck in your head.
You groaned as you sat up with the help of your elbows and rested yourself on the headboard of the bed.
While massaging your head you remember you cried so much yesterday and whenever you cry too much, you get a massive headache the next day and your eyes also hurt a lot which is what is happening right now.
"Damn you Jeon Jungkook, it's all because of you" you cursed at him.
"Is he still not home?" You questioned yourself.
You sighed as you looked outside the window, again looking down at your lap you shook your head before tossing the duvet away from you and stepping down off the bed before vanishing in the washroom to freshen up.
Walking down the stairs, a sight almost made you trip on your way but you balanced yourself by holding on to the handle of the stairs.
You blinked a few times thinking that you were daydreaming maybe? But no, it was real. It was not fading away even if you rubbed your eyes.
You slowly walked up to the dining room while your eyes were only on him. You were walking forward mindlessly and hence resulting in your hand accidentally bumping into a glass on your way.
The glass fell down before shattering into pieces and you came back to the earth by that sound.
But before you could react, "move back!!"
You looked at him with your puffy eyes. He ran up to you, carefully before checking if you're okay. "You're okay? Did you get hurt?" He checked you from head to toe but he was careful to not touch you without your consent.
You just looked at him blankly while softly blinking. "Sit there, I'll clean this mess up." He bent down and started collecting the pieces carefully.
You just stood there and watched him. He was here. That too, in the kitchen preparing breakfast for today.
For the first time in your married life, he is doing this. He was in his casuals with an apron on him.
But when did he even come back? And where was he? And why is he doing all this all of a sudden? There were too many questions running in your mind. You were confused, so damn confused.
He was done cleaning up and dumped the mess in the dustbin. He came back and found you still at the same place while in your deep thoughts.
He knew. He knows very well what's going on in your mind. He sighed as he came up to you with a soft smile. "Y/n, let's have breakfast together?"
You looked at him bewildered, you heard him right? Your poker faced husband had a smile on his face for you for the very first time and was also asking to have breakfast with you! You must be dreaming right now! But were you?
You just silently went to one of the chairs around the dining table and sat on it, Jungkook watched you silently, he was damn sure why are you reacting like this.
He decided to tell you about yesterday thinking you might be worried about him while having breakfast with you.
He realised that you've become an important part of his life.
He realised he started having feelings for you after what happened yesterday, after talking with that grandpa,
he realised that you should cherish those people around you while they're with you because you never know what could happen tomorrow.
Never take anyone for granted, especially to those who care for you.
And he realised you've always cared for him in spite of being forced into this marriage as well, you did your duty as a wife but he failed as husband and he is ready to make it up to you.
He is ready to go through every hardship now to gain your trust, your heart. He is ready to fall in love with you so deep that he won't ever wish for anything else.
Whatever happens, he is ready to be with you through every thick and thin just like he took that vow on your wedding day.
Whether you want it or not, he is ready to put in all the effort now. He is ready to give his bestest now.
He may realise this a little late but he is ready to pay for it and he doesn't care whatever it takes.
This coward somewhere knew he has started falling for his wife but he chose to avoid her instead.
How stupid of him.
But.. no more games now. He has gained feelings for his wife and he's going to shower her with all his unconditional Love and efforts. He's going to show it to her what does she mean to him.
He will make it right.
He served you both the chocolate pancakes that he made while carefully watching your expressions but you had that straight face since the starting as if you're lost somewhere.
"Why is he doing all this?" Was the only question roaming around your mind.
"Actually.. yesterday I was.. stuck-" he was harshly cut off by you. "Did I ask you?" You questioned, the breakfast in front of you, in your plate untouched.
You haven't even taken a single bite from it. You were looking down. He pursed his lips as he looked down as well, he put down his fork.
No, because that was your limit.
You've lost all the remaining hope now. You do not want to know where he was, what was he doing, was he cheating?
This thought never crossed your mind until yesterday.
You know he may be cold to you but he wasn't one of those men to have such low and pathetic values and ethics, to have an extramarital affair behind his wife but yesterday, your thinking was to the extent to have a thought like this.
You just couldn't help but let that thought wash over your mind.
You were totally disappointed in him. Disappointed in yourself that where did you go wrong? Did you not do enough?
Did you miss somewhere that he may have found interest in another person?
You thought of all the possibilities of where he was but when you woke up this morning, you made up your mind.
You are going to stop caring now. Even if it will hurt you but you will do it. For yourself, for your mental peace.
You are going to make yourself a priority, no matter what.
"I did not ask you, where were you? What were you doing yesterday? I don't care anymore.
You're free to do whatever you want. I'm sorry for everything that I've done till today for you. It was my fault." You chuckled bitterly before breathing in deeply.
He looked at you, he was shocked hearing you. You looked up at him finally as you found him staring at you.
You passed him a small broken smile before standing up and leaving the area as you walked upstairs.
He was still shocked by your reply. Your bloodshot eyes were the only thing flashing in front of his eyes ever since you left.
He lost his appetite as well as he cleaned the table before washing the dishes and dumped the leftovers in the bin

After done with his work he was thinking about what to do to make your mood better. Should he go and apologise but you don't even want to listen to him.
He saw a notification popping up on his phone as he walked up to it. He started checking all the messages as there were many important messages related to his work.
While scrolling down his eyes met with an unexpected message which was sent in the group chat in which all of your family members are there.
His eyes widened as he immediately clicked on it and he was met with innumerous messages from everyone wishing you both happy anniversary.
The message was sent 1 day ago that means yesterday but he did not check it because of how busy he was and various different messages were sent after that which made that particular group chat go down.
He took a sharp breath as he kept scrolling and that's when he realised how brutally he had fcked up.
He closed his phone and tossed it somewhere before running a hand through his hair making them messy.
His heart felt heavy, he cannot even think what you must be feeling right now.
How can he forget his own anniversary? He would have remembered it late but he didn't even remember it till the end and now he is left with nothing but guilt.
He can't let this happen, he has to do something.
He rubbed his face as he looked up and sighed heavily. "What have you done you moron?" He felt guilty as your sad and silent face flashe
d in front of his eyes. Now he knew why you were acting this way.
He thinks that because of this you were behaving this way but little did he know...
you have lost all your hopes on him.
